HISTORY

Here are some pages about the history of our village. You can find out about the village history, the church, the connections we have with other parishes via the bridges and some history about them including when a traction engine crashed through one of them. There is the story of the Invicta horse and the West Farleigh oil mill as well.

The Farleigh's History Society meets quarterly at the Bull, Lower Road, East Farleigh. We will be meeting at the usual time of 7.30pm. All welcome, £2.50 on the door and members free. Enquiries to Jenny Finch 01622 726312 or jenniferfinch@hotmail.co.uk. We offer speakers usually connected with Kent or East or West Farleigh and welcome members and non members alike. If any local people have old photos of East or West Farleigh we would welcome the chance to scan them and put them on both East and West Farleigh Parish websites.

This page is also the link to the genealogy section of our site.
