From Tad Stone whose grandfather,
Walter Stone was head gardener at Court Lodge during the First World War when he
won prizes for his peaches, etc. His grandmother was housekeeper at the same
time. The lady who owned Court Lodge apparently treated them very well. They had
about 8 children at the time. Tad has copies of their registration cards which
showed both were from Wateringbury. Tad is interested to find out more about his
grandparents at that time and about Court Lodge.
