From Sally Jopson - Mr. Frank and
Mrs. Alice Jopson lived in Charlton Lane and owned and ran The Forge Kilnbridge
Engineering. They used to live in an old house called Oakdean just down from the
Good Intent. They had 3 sons and a daughter and then moved over the road to 7
Charlton Lane. My name is Sally Jopson. I am married to one of the sons and live
now at Sutton Bridge in Lincolnshire. The forge Kilnbridge that Mr Frank Jopson
owned was in East Farleigh. His sons and daughter went to the primary school in
West Farleigh. Does anyone remember this little school or any of the Jopson
children
in approx 1951? Peter Jopson, Bruce Jopson and their friend John Smitherman, who
also lived in Charlton Lane as teenagers, shared a passion for motorcycles. |
