From Meg Gain
- Meg's husband's maternal ancestors were the Crayfourd's or Crayford's who came
from West Farleigh. Meg would like to hear from anyone who knows of the
family in either of its spellings.
William Crayford baptised 1784 in West Farleigh and his wife Susanna had 12
children:-
William, baptised 1809; Thomas Goward, baptised 1810; Stephen, baptised 1812;
Robert, baptised 1812; Susanna baptised, 1814; Ann, baptised 1815; Edward,
baptised 1816; Elizabeth, baptised 1816; John, baptised 1818; Sarah, baptised
1821; James, baptised 1824 and Mary, baptised 1825. If you think you have a
connection with this family, please get in touch.
Some addresses for the Crayfords include:- Crayford Yard, West Farleigh
Hoppers Corner Cottages, Yalding Rd, West Farleigh
Butchers Meadow, West Farleigh, and
Barnes Cottage, West Farleigh.
It would be good to pinpoint these places on a map, if possible. Thanks for
great website Meg. Contact

FEEDBACK
Feedback from Barbara Drolet. Thank you for posting my query on the Bingham
family. Just to clarify, we found info that my father, Frederick Bingham, lived
at Elms Croft Yard, and was a gardeners helper. We think he had brothers,
William, Edward & Harry. Their mother was called Ann Crayfourd and not Crayford.
We are searching for info on my father, not grandfather. It seems unusual, but
he was born in 1884, he had his family late in life, and died at the age of 63
in Canada. We know nothing of his family in West Farleigh. Thanks. Barbara
