From Barbara Cheeseman - I am looking for
a George Smith Cheesman. In the 1861 & 1871 census he is living in London but
his birth place is West Farleigh. He died before 1881, possibly 1877. I can't
find any one definite in 1841 or 1851 anywhere in Kent. He was born about 1837
to 1839. I imagine having Smith as a Christian name, as did two of his sons, is
a clue to his mother or grandmother's surname. There doesn't seem to be a
Cheesman heading so I thought I'd try Smith instead!
